The Humanitarian Data Exchange (HDX) is an open platform for sharing and accessing humanitarian data across crises and organizations, operated under the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). HDX enables humanitarian actors, researchers, and organizations worldwide to find, share, and use critical crisis-related data in one centralized location, currently hosting over 20,500 datasets spanning 254 locations and drawing from more than 2,100 sources.

HDX specializes in providing structured, accessible data to support effective humanitarian response efforts globally. Its dataset catalog covers a wide range of topics including administrative boundaries, corruption indices, global supply chain chokepoints, and other indicators vital to crisis management and humanitarian planning. The platform serves as a trusted data infrastructure layer for the international humanitarian community.
