Halal and pork-free food is easy to find, the historic Baščaršija old town is full of grills and bakeries, and mosques like the 16th-century Gazi Husrev-beg sit at the centre of daily life. Europe's oldest full-time tram line, trolleybuses and buses cover the compact valley city.
