Your trip plan
A step-by-step plan for Cairo — built backwards from the goal: arrive prepared, do the expo well, get back. Event dates: June 3, 2026 – June 4, 2026.

Visa & entry
If you need a visa, start the process well before June 3, 2026 — processing can take several weeks.
Many nationalities can obtain an Egyptian tourist visa on arrival or apply online for an e-Visa, which also covers short business-visitor travel for events; others need a visa from an Egyptian mission. Confirm eligibility and current requirements on the official Egypt e-Visa portal before travel.
General guidance only — always confirm requirements with the official embassy/consulate for your nationality.

The Cairo Metro (three lines, with a new monorail and LRT expanding the network) is fast and beats the city's heavy traffic; buses and microbuses fill the gaps but are harder for visitors to navigate.
Buy a rechargeable Metro smartcard (or single-ride tickets) at any Metro station.
Uber and Careem are the simplest and most transparent option; with street taxis, agree the fare first as meters are often not used.
Eat — halal near the venue
