The International Halal Economic Conference (IHEC) 2026 was held 3-5 February 2026 at Hotel Tenera & Suite, Bandar Baru Bangi, and concluded successfully (confirmed by the organiser-linked recap at olympia-education.com). Organiser-reported/projected figures (NOT verified post-show actuals): the event targeted more than RM500 million in trade and business engagements, with each participating industry sector expected to average about RM3 million in transactions; more than 500 local and international delegates were expected, with 18 countries confirmed to participate and a virtual broadcast reaching over 30 countries (per New Straits Times / Bernama / Souqtimes pre-event coverage). The two-day programme featured 14 invited panels across international trade, halal certification and governance, Islamic finance, digitalisation, logistics and global investment, plus business-matching forums, an international halal products and technology exhibition, and a gala night honouring International Halal Awards recipients on 5 February. These are conference-wide figures (the event is a conference with exhibition and business-matching components, not a halal track within a larger show) and are organiser self-reported projections rather than confirmed attendance/exhibitor counts.
